Ingredients
Scale
- 6–8 Chicken Legs (about 2 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (for a little heat)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin get extra crispy.
- Make the Spice Rub: In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Season the Chicken: Drizzle the chicken legs with olive oil, then rub them thoroughly with the spice mixture, making sure to coat all sides.
- Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken legs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook in batches.
- Cook: Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping the chicken legs halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
- Rest: Let the chicken legs rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in even juicier meat.
