2–3 large russet potatoes
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Optional: garlic powder
Optional: paprika
Optional: onion powder
Wash and scrub your potatoes thoroughly. Cut the potatoes into even-sized fries, about ½ inch thick.
Place the cut fries in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
After soaking, drain the fries and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other spices you’re using.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the basket.
Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
