Air Fryer Swordfish Steaks Enjoy flaky flavorful swordfish in minutes This quick easy recipe delivers perfectly cooked results every time
Total Time:20 minutes
Yield:2 servings 1x
Ingredients
Scale
2 (6-8 ounce) swordfish steaks, about 1 inch thick
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika recommended)
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Lemon wedges and fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Pat the swordfish steaks dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil to prevent sticking.
Carefully place the marinated swordfish steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping. If necessary, cook in batches.
Air fry for 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steaks. Flip the steaks halfway through the cooking time (around 4-6 minutes). The swordfish is done when it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove the swordfish steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
