- 2 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes (or more, to taste)
- 1 tbsp Lime Juice
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This is crucial for achieving crispy skin.
- Make the Dry Rub: In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt.
- Season the Wings: In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil and the dry rub. Make sure each wing is evenly coated.
- Air Fry the Wings: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. You may need to cook them in batches. Air fry for 20 minutes, then flip the wings and cook for another 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Make the BBQ Sauce: While the wings are cooking, prepare the BBQ sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chili flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
